Medium-density residential on a topographically complex site. Orogen was engaged to deliver civil design, subdivision, and resource consent services for a 32-unit medium-density residential development in Newlands. The site presented significant topographic complexity, a history as a wastewater treatment plant site, and stormwater neutrality requirements.


Stormwater neutrality and bulk earthworks design. A key technical challenge was stormwater neutrality design, required under Wellington Water Limited standards for the site draining to Wellington Harbour. Orogen prepared the earthworks and subdivision design, bulk infrastructure realignment plans including existing water and wastewater mains, and resource consent documentation.
