Brownfield development with complex stormwater catchments. Orogen delivered the detailed design and delivery of Stages 3a, 3b, the Karearea Avenue extension to Kenepuru Drive, and the Central Precinct civil works at Kenepuru Landing, Porirua. The project involved a brownfield development requiring realignment of fibre, power, sewer, and water mains integrated with new roading alignments and housing development. Stormwater catchment assessment included modelling of primary and secondary flow catchments, intakes, outlets, and existing system capacity, with integrated drainage design detailed to Wellington Water specifications.
Hydraulic modelling and infrastructure delivery. Orogen delivered hydraulic modelling capability covering stormwater hydraulic structure designs including weirs, basins, key intakes, and orifices. The project demonstrated philosophies of Safety in Design, Water Sensitive Urban Design, and value-add engineering judgement. Intelligent design data and specification enabled machine control construction. An independent assessment by consultants for Wellington Water was completed alongside physical delivery of the stormwater network. Community Hub and Early Childhood Centre infrastructure was also delivered within the active staged development environment.
