Retired farmland to lifestyle community. Orogen was engaged to deliver a rural residential subdivision in Palmerston North, a development comprising 20 lots on an 11 hectare site. The project transformed retired pastoral farmland into a well-serviced lifestyle community, integrating water-sensitive urban design principles and bespoke attenuation infrastructure.

Infrastructure and stormwater design. Full design packages were delivered for roading, stormwater, wastewater, and water infrastructure. Hydraulic modelling using HEC-HMS with climate change projections informed attenuation pond design for 1% and 0.5% AEP events. Rainwater tanks were recommended for each lot to reduce impervious runoff, and erosion and sediment controls were designed and monitored throughout construction.
