Long-term slope monitoring after stabilisation works. A slope failure adjacent to a main road in Wellington required slope stabilisation works, with ongoing monitoring needed to quantify any movement. Orogen was engaged to establish the monitoring framework and deliver ongoing surveying services to track movement against a baseline established at project commencement.

High-precision methodology and reporting. Movement detection needed to be accurate to within plus or minus 2mm to provide reliable early warning of further slope instability. Monitoring measurements were completed remotely via permanently fixed prisms, with methodology designed to accommodate potential atmospheric refraction and instrument instability.
